PR Weekend 2012 - New York

So, it's official PR (Pattern Review) Weekend 2012 will be in New York, NY.  I'm making my plans to attend and I am sew excited!  Fabric shopping in the Garment Distric, Tour of Simplicity's office, Class (and, book signing - IJS) with Kenneth King, not to mention tons of fun!

This dress is mostly finished, but since I didn't have the right type of lining (the original lining I purchased didn't have the same type of stretch as my fabric) that really affected the finish of the neckline and the hem.  I didn't want to just sew it, so I've been looking for some black lace to really complete the look. I'll let you know more when it's finally done.

Most Recent Sewing Project - My HAIR!

I'm still sewing - even though - I've been a little silent.  I'm getting ready for a long vacation (10 days), so there's been a lot of things on the work front that I need to get squared away.

In other news, I just finished my most recent sewing project - My Hair.

I used Salon Pro All-In-One Body Twist hair, I took me approximately 3 hours - and, I had to do the closure twice (to get the way I wanted it).  It's so much easier to have someone do your hair for you.  I chose this hair based on a review I saw on the Fashion Crackheads blog (view link here).

The hair is 10 inches in the front, but it's 16 inches in the back!  Oh, yeah!
