Here's a look at everything that I received for Christmas....  (everything purchased was previously budgeted for - and, all purchases were made with Cash Money).  See Black Friday & MTMMO

All of my Christmas Gifts revolved around Sewing - well, this is SEW ReInvented Audrey!  Really, one thing led to another:

1. New Sewing Machine (And, yes - I love it!): Brother CE8080PRW (purchased on Black Friday, but it was a roll back special at Wal-Mart)
2. 9 New to Me (Out of Print) Vogue Patterns (Black Friday - great deal)
3. New Look 6130 - There are so many reviews of this shirt on PR, I really wanted this pattern
4. FABRIC! and Thread from Fabric.com (Black Friday)
5. Pinking Shears - how did I ever live without these?  My projects are starting to look as nice on the inside as they do on the outside.  So winning!

I still have $25 in the Christmas budget, and I'm trying to decide on what to get.  In retrospect this is so funny, I would spend $25 without blinking.... Now, I've been trying to decide since Black Friday.  There are several sewing related books on my Amazon wish list.  Or, there are some dress maker shears.... Or, the possibilities are endless.

TNT Pants

I've been slow to post this, but I made another pair of pants using my favorite - okay, (until, I got my new Vogues) my only pants pattern! - V8541. 

I don't have any pictures in these pants, although I've worn them 3 times.  They were finished except for the hem (on one leg) in September and when the weather changed earlier than I expected - I stopped working on them.  Yes, you read right I only needed to finish one pant leg.  I did the entire hem (blind stitch) by hand. 

I didn't post this on Pattern Review because I've posted about this pants pattern before.

Pattern Description:
Very Easy Vogue 8541 – Out of Print – Misses’ Jacket, Skirt and Pants. Pull-on pants D have elastic casing and straight legs. I only made the pants. This is my 3rd time making these pants.

Pattern Sizing:
16-24. I made the 16.  **I've been doing Weight Watchers.  I cut these pants at the end of August, but they are feeling baggier now.  Oh, yeah!  That's a great problem.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Absolutely Yes!

Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes.  Although, since this is my 3rd pair - I didn't really use them.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I made it, I love it!

Fabric Used:
I used a polyester suiting in Antique Rose - it was on clearance for $1.95 per yard at Fabric.com a few months ago.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
No changes made.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?

Super easy to make and you can dress 'em up or dress 'em down.   I especially, appreciate the comfort level during long days at work.  Yes, I will make these again, but I recently ordered some new patterns, so it may be awhile before I come back to this one.

Black Friday & New (to me) Vogue Patterns

Of course, once I decided that I would purchase a new sewing machine on Black Friday..... That, really meant two things:
#1 - I would need to purchase some fabric (more on that later); and #2 - I would need to purchase some patterns.  Ha-ha!  Any excuse will do.

On Vogue Patterns Website - there's a fantastic $.99 sale on Out of Print Patterns (hence, they are new to me!).  The best part about OOP - there are reviews on Pattern Review (I love that website) and it helps me make a more informed decision on whether or not I should try a pattern.

I purchased a few other patterns, but these highlight the newest arrivals in my collection.  I'm sew excited.  And, yes, I was up at 6 a.m. setting up the sewing machine.  As soon as I finish my coffee, I'll be making automatic button holes!  I'm gonna try all 8 of them out.  I can't believe I went from straight / zigzag stitch to 80 stitches overnight.  OMG!  **Insert insanely happy, happy dance!**

More Patterns --> Means More Fabric!

Since, I've ordered 7 new patterns from Vogue the other day.  That meant that I had to order fabric, so that I would be able to make the patterns.  **Don't judge me!**

Even though Fabric.com has announced that they are behind on fulfilling orders - I placed an order with them.  Mainly, because I know that even with the delays - I'll have that fabric within 2 weeks.  And, with the sale prices (plus, the additional 30% off of clearance) I can't help, but feel like a winner!

So, this is what I ordered and here are my plans.....I purchased a jean weight machine needle and thread - along with this fabulous fabric!

Rayon Blend Iridescent Shirting Butter - 2 yards

I'll make a shirt out of this, but I ordered it because I loved it every time I looked at it.  LOL!  Fabric 0-0 Love!

Jacquard Suiting Roses Maroon - 3 yards

I'm thinking V8815 (short sleeves) with a pair of V8541 elastic waist pants. Or, I could make the short sleeve V8840 with the shorter length pants.

Crepe Knit Chestnut - 2 yards

I had V1250 in mind when I picked this out!

Yarn Dyed Rayon Suiting Plaid White/Pink - 4 yards

I love this so, so much!  I want to make a jacket / skirt combo from this.  I would love to be able to wear it in January for Grandma B's 80th Birthday celebration (either, the dinner or Sunday Church Service)!  I'm kinda slow, so I need to get started immediately. V7975, the trim that I'm able to find will determine which jacket I make, and I'll likely make my V8541 elastic waist skirt (since, I would prefer a skirt with a back vent).

Designer Polyester Jersey Knit Zebra Light Green/White- 2 yards

I want to make a shirt from this.... I need to see it up close to determine exactly which one, but I'm leaning towardsV8534 (with the bow) or V8840

Now, I just need to plan out the order that I need to complete these projects.

Vogue Patterns $2.88 Sale!
